SupraNet Communications, Inc. receives SOC 2 Type II Certification
SupraNet is proud to announce the completion of the SOC 2 Type II audit for 2018. SOC, which stands for System and Organization Controls, is a series of standards designed to help measure how well a service organization conducts and regulates information. As a SOC-certified organization, SupraNet has been audited by an independent certified public accountant who determined that appropriate SOC safeguards and procedures are in place to protect client’s data.
The SOC 2 Type II report is the most comprehensive certification within the Systems and Organization Control protocol. By completing the certification, SupraNet has proven its systems are designed to keep sensitive data secure through rigorous examination and evaluation of controls regulating interaction with clients and client data. The SOC 2 Type II requires standard operating procedures for organizational oversight, vendor management, risk management and regulatory oversight over a specific time period, and systems must be evaluated for a minimum of six months.
The SOC 2 extends the reach of SupraNet’s previously completed SSAE 16 Type II (Statement of Standards for Attestation Engagements) and SAS 70 (Statement on Auditing Standards).
“As a long-term provider of data center services in Madison, the completion of the SOC 2 Type II Exam is an important annual milestone. One of our core values is a culture of constant improvement, and the SOC 2 Type II certification is a testament to that endeavor,” said Matt Apps, SupraNet’s Executive Vice President.
